I noticed that in your install instructions, you don't use the digital 
audio from your Hauppage card.

In /etc/modprobe.conf:

alias char-major-81 bttv
alias char-major-81-1 tvaudio
alias snd-card-1 snd-bt87x
alias sound-slot-1 snd-bt87x
</code>

Now /dev/dsp1 (your mileage may vary) will point to the digital output 
of the Brooktree card.

Also, I recently put in a PVR150 for NTSC.  I had to set tuner=50 
manually (and rather randomly since I couldn't find a list of cards' 
tuners anywhere).
