Dear all,
there are a lot of gather updates that are just being
uploaded. Highlights are
o rpm 4.3.1 upgrades for all platforms
o more FC2 support
o 64-bit support in rpms
o FC2/x86_64 rebuilds
While doing the above major topics, new mythtv/alsa/kernels etc. hit
the road and got updated as well:

mythtv mythvideo mythweather mythweb nvidia-graphics

nvidia-graphics5328 nvidia-graphics5332 nvidia-graphics5336 nxtvepg
openquicktime openswan openswan1 perl-Digest-Nilsimsa perl-Tk
perl-Tk-TableMatrix perl-Video-Frequencies perl-Video-ivtv PIL
portaudio pth razor-agents rpm rrdtool skencil subversion synaptic
transcode xawtv yum
Out of all packages the most worring ones are the rpm packages. I have
been stress-testing these on i386/x86_64 FC systems and found them
very stable (and also quite faster including apt and friends, but that
may be subjective). The above rebuilds require many rpm operations to
setup the environment per build, and I had no single rpm lockup!
Nevertheless I will only push them out as bleeding and hope to get
feedback from you. You may probably need to manually remove
/var/lib/rpm/__* files after installation. Backup /var/lib/rpm just in
case.
apt/yum/synaptic have been rebuilt against rpm 4.3.1, but are left in
the resp. stability class (e.g. if you do not upgrade to rpm 4.3.1
you will see them as "held back").
A note to FC2/x86_64 users: While apt builds and installs fine, it
cannot cope with the multilib idioms of FC, yet. So, if you start
mixixng 32 and 64 bit apps, apt-get will consider these packages
duplicates. The problem is know upstream and hopefully there will be a
fix, soon. yum and up2date work well, though.
Enjoy! :)
